Student visits

Student groups can visit the CTTT to learn more about how the informal dispute resolution process works.

Booking your visit in advance will enable the CTTT to better accommodate your group.

CTTT student visit request form

To book a student visit, complete the CTTT student visit request form (PDF size: 33kb) and return it back to the CTTT at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed date.

Completed forms can be sent by email, post or fax.

Email: CommEdCTTT@cttt.nsw.gov.au

Post:
CTTT Communication and Education Team
GPO Box 4005, Sydney NSW 2001

Fax: (02) 9641 6405

You will be contacted prior to the visit to confirm arrangements.

To cater to your needs, please keep in mind the following:

  • View the CTTT's hearing lists to see what types of disputes may be of interest.
  • If you have more than 10 students in a group, students will need to be organised into smaller groups to accommodate hearing room arrangements.

Suggested agenda for booked visits

The suggested agenda for booked visits includes the following:

  • 15 minute presentation from a Deputy Registrar providing students with a general understanding of the CTTT's role and its procedures.
  • After the presentation, the group will go into a hearing room to observe hearings.  Larger groups of students will need to be split into smaller groups.
  • While there are hearings listed throughout the day, there are a few full hearing days.  Visitors will usually observe the group list hearings which generally run from 1 - 2 hours.
