Commencement of CTTT Regulation 2009

1 September 2009

The Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2002 has been automatically repealed.  A replacement regulation, the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2009, commenced on Tuesday, 1 September 2009.

The aim of the Regulation is to provide a framework to assist the efficient and cost-effective operations of the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.  The Regulation concerns matters of an administrative and/or procedural nature.

There are no significant changes to the Regulations.  The fees, which are subject to an annual review, are now located in a schedule to the Regulation.  Consequently, a number of clauses have been re-ordered and re-numbered.  This means that although the essential provisions of the Regulation are unchanged, some parts of the Regulation will appear to have changed significantly.

The 2009 Regulation is available from the Parliamentary Counsel’s website at: http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au.
