Tribunal Members
Tribunal Members are independent statutory officers who hear and determine applications brought before the CTTT in accordance with the law and based on the evidence presented.
All Tribunal Members, except for the Deputy Chairperson (Registry and Administration), are appointed by the Governor under section 7 of the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Act 2001. The qualifications of Members are set out at section 8 of the Act.
The Code of Conduct for Members of the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (PDF size: 51kb) sets out the standards of behaviour expected from each Member and provides guidance to Members in the performance of their duties.
The Tribunal Membership comprises one Chairperson, 2 Deputy Chairpersons, 11 Senior Members, 11 Full-time Members and 56 Part-time Members.
